It is definitely a place I could see my friends and I hanging out if we lived in Custer and believe me, the possibility of moving to Custer was discussed after our great stay in town. The place had a good atmosphere and fun charm.
The owner was the only one left and she greeted us, took out orders and did all the cooking. We went in and were warmly greeted and sat in a booth that we all agreed was strangely comfortable for some reason. We hopped in the car and headed in the direction the clerk said and found the Frontier. Regardless, she told the clerk to have us come down and she would stay open for us. Now, I can't be sure that I remember the owners name but I think it is Barb. He started calling places based on their proximity to the hotel and everyone was closed or closing and had no interest in staying open.that is until he called the Frontier. We asked the clerk where we should eat and he said that pretty much everything was closing. We rolled into Custer just before 9 on a Wednesday night and checked into our hotel.
